Summary:
Directs and coordinates activities of inspection operations to obtain optimum use of equipment, facilities, and personnel by performing the following duties personally or through subordinate supervisors.
Essential duties and Responsibilities:
- Manages yard inventory and ensures inspections are performed within specified time frame.
- Oversees transportation of vehicles to auctions and follows up with necessary titles and/or paperwork.
- Ensures all reports are completed timely and accurately.
- Reviews and analyzes operations and financial reports.
- Assists with training of new staff.
- Recognizes opportunities to control costs and supports corporate initiatives accordingly.
- Conducts new employee interviews and makes recommendations accordingly.
- Enforces compliance with administrative policies, procedures, safety rules, and governmental regulations.
- Develops strong working relationships with customers; responds to customer concerns in a timely and proactive manner.
- Cooperates with regional operational staff for field visits and audits.
- Tracks employee attendance and schedules staff according to business volumes.
- Works in conjunction with Human Resources and Regional Management to address employee performance and
disciplinary issues.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
Directly supervises ramp employees to maintain operations. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; evaluating performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

Education and/or Experience
BS degree, two to four years related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Language Skills
Able to read, analyzes, and interprets general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations; ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals; and the ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from management, clients, customers and the general public.
Mathematical Skills
Able to add, subtracts, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals; and the ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
Reasoning Ability
Able to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of variables in situations where only limited standardization exists, and able to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
Computer Skills
To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of CTIS, Excel and MS Word Processing software.
